Building Pathways for Young People Through Education & Community Partnerships

Through our partnership with Business in the Community Ireland (BITCI) and local schools, we supported 103 students this year across primary, junior cycle, Transition Year and senior cycle levels.

Second year students from Deansrath Community College completed the World of Work Programme, exploring our business, sustainability, and soft skills, along with an on-site visit. BITCI reported strong outcomes: 100% would recommend the programme, 67% felt more confident, and 78% said it changed how they think about their future.

At St. Ronan’s Primary School, children with learning difficulties took part in the 20‑week Time to Read programme, receiving one‑to‑one literacy support and donated books.

Transition Year students joined our Ready for the Workplace workshops, developing practical skills in CV writing, interview preparation and communication.

We also welcomed senior cycle students for National Manufacturing Day, where they explored STEM pathways, met employees in technical roles, and discovered career options they may not have previously considered.

Together, these initiatives help young people build confidence, develop essential skills and gain clearer pathways from education into the world of work.
