Britvic Ireland boasts a heritage spanning more than 227 years, with origins dating back to 1799, making it Ireland’s longest‑established soft drinks company.

Britvic Ireland has been manufacturing soft drinks at Kylemore Road in Ballyfermot for the past 50 years and has been bottling Ballygowan at Newcastle West in Limerick for 40 years.

The company remains the only large-scale soft drinks manufacturer in the Republic of Ireland, employing over 400 people.

Britvic Ireland's portfolio includes iconic brands such as Ballygowan, MiWadi, Club, and TK, which have been trusted and enjoyed by Irish people for many years. 

Carlsberg Group’s acquisition of the company in January 2025 marks an important new chapter, bringing Britvic Ireland into a broader multi‑beverage portfolio. The deal positions Britvic Ireland as the only standalone soft drinks business within Carlsberg’s Western Europe operations. This strategic step underscores Britvic Ireland’s continued relevance in the market and its strong potential for future growth.
